BTS Meal Review: McDonald’s Philippines

MNL Ph – Twas’ a win-win collaboration between McDonald’s and BTS Army not just in South Korea but also here in the Philippines and other countries serving BTS Meal.

Golden Arches are about to shine even brighter thanks to a new collaboration with 21st century global pop icons. BIGHIT MUSIC, label of BTS says “they can’t wait to share BTS Meal with the world”.

McDonald’s began rolling out in almost 50 countries around the world last month, ARMYs (and even those with little knowledge of K-Pop) have been thoroughly enjoying the “BTS Meal.”

The “BTS Meal” basically has McNuggets, fries, and two new dipping sauces (Cajun and Sweet Chili) presented the meal in limited edition BTS-themed packaging. Given BTS’s popularity, it’s no surprise ARMYs have been rushing to get their hands on it, but demand for the meal has still reached unprecedented levels.

Though I know it is just McDonald’s Nuggets & Fries, I am planning to buy a set menu of BTS Meal. Luckily that in one event that I attended they served us the BTS Meal. Their tasty sauces especially the Cajun sauce makes it taste differently from the normal nuggets and fries.

In the Philippines, almost 1 million of the collaboration set meals have been sold since the BTS meal launched, with some Filipino McDonald’s restaurants shifting 1,000 “BTS Meals” per day. A standard BTS Meal in the Philippines costs around $5.50 USD, bringing their approximate sales total to over $5 million USD and counting.

With the success collaboration of the said set menu, I am wondering how much hybe and the members are earning from this partnership?

“No matter who you are, everyone has a go-to order at McDonald’s – even international superstars like BTS.” said Oliver Rabatan, McDonald’s Philippines Marketing & Channels Head. “This band is truly a global phenomenon with a fanbase that knows no borders, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the BTS Meal to our customers in the Philippines”.
