Marvel Fans are clamoring for a movie trailer “Spider-Man: No Way Home” — or some version of it — reportedly leaked online this weekend, sending millions of fans searching social media for any tidbits from the new movie.
The release of the trailer over the weekend brought surprise to Marvel fanatics after missing Spider-Man: Far From Home from 2019.
Sony Pictures has officially released the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home and with it cause internet outrage. The brief collection of footage from the new movie shows off just enough of the film that it has fans screaming in all caps about what they’ve just seen including: Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Zendaya’s MJ being adorable together, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange reunited after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and the confirmation that Alfred Molina is back as Doctor Octopus.
Spiderman: No Way Home best describes as reality + time = different timeline. Here are some reactions from Spiderman fans;
Sony’s official description for the film reads as follows: “For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”
Alfred Molina was the first actor from a past Spider-Man franchise to talk openly about his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it seems fitting that he’s also the first to appear in the film’s advertising efforts. The long-awaited trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was officially released on Monday evening, and it featured quite a lot of footage of Tom Holland’s MCU web-slinger, as well as Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. However, the very end of the trailer brought No Way Home its first real multiversal reveal, as Molina stepped into the frame.
Not only did Molina show up in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, but he showed up donning his infamous Doc Ock arms to confirm that he’s indeed reprising his role as Otto Octavius. Molina originated the on-screen villain role in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, starring alongside Tobey Maguire.
Even though the involvement of actors from the previous two Spider-Man franchises has been one of Marvel’s worst-kept secrets, those who are reportedly appearing in the movie have keep rather quiet about the whole thing. Except for Molina, of course, who had no problem opening up about his second stint as Doc Ock.
“When we were shooting it, we were all under orders not to talk about it, because it was supposed to be some great big secret,” Molina told Variety back in April. “But, you know, it’s all over the Internet. I actually described myself as the worst kept secret in Hollywood.”
“It was wonderful,” Molina continued. “It was very interesting going back after 17 years to play the same role, given that in the intervening years, I now have two chins, a wattle, crow’s feet, and a slightly dodgy lower back.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature appearances from Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, J.B. Smoove as Julius Dell, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Angourie Rice as Betty Brant, Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson, and Alfred Molina will reprise his role as Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2. Reports have also indicated that Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man movies and that Willem Dafoe will return as the Green Goblin, both of which were also seemingly confirmed by the new trailer.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released on December 17th.
Here are some facts collated to the movie Spiderman as well as it’s actor Tom Holland:
Last month, Holland revealed his plans on taking a break from acting after shooting No Way Home. “I’m gonna go home and just enjoy some time, you know – it’s the first time since I signed on to Spider-Man that I don’t have a contract with someone,”
Sony/Disney created a new contract, stipulating one more Spider-Man film and a mystery Marvel movie starring Tom Holland. … Marvel has confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) will be the final film in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, but the young actor is set to star in one more Marvel movie after that.
No Way Home is likely the last time we will see Spider-Man in the MCU since Sony’s contract to lend the character to Marvel Studios for three solo films is coming to an end. … And there are a few hints that we may finally get a live-action rendering of a beloved version of Spidey from the comics.
